Shiv Thakare became the first runner-up while the TV star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary finished at third spot. Priyanka's eviction was shocking as there were speculations that she would win the show.
Bigg Boss 16, which kickstarted on October 1, 2022 had extended till February 12 due to its popularity. This season was one of the best seasons in the history of Bigg Boss.
Bigg Boss 16 Winner MC Stan
There were five finalists - MC Stan, Shiv Thakare, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Archana Gautam and Shalin Bhanot. Earlier, only Rs 21 lakh and 80 thousand was the prize money. Bigg Boss gave opportunity to the five finalists to increase the prize money upto Rs 31 lakh and 80 thousand by mutually deciding who would be on fifth position among them. If they guessed right, then the prize money would be increased by Rs 10 lakh.
They mutually decided that Shalin Bhanot would be on fifth position. Salman Khan announced that their guess was right, so the prize money increased and Shalin Bhanot got eliminated.
Actor Sunny Deol and his co-star Ameesha Patel also came in the Grand Finale to promote their upcoming movie Gadar 2. They eliminated the fourth finalist by giving them a task. Four finalists had to pluck the hand pump to got to know who would be eliminated. Under Archana Gautam's hand pump, eliminated was written, so she got evicted at fourth position.
Other contestants of Bigg Boss 16 were also present in the Grand Finale including director Sajid Khan, Abdu Rozik, Tina Datta, Soundarya Sharma, Ankit Gupta, Gautam Vig, Gori Nagori and among others.
